Harris Field Property Acquisition Chatham, VAClient: Town of Chatham, VAWhen the Town of Chatham decided to acquire property from the adjoining land owner to expand their parking lot and entrance road, they used Armstrong Land Surveying, INC The parking lot is used by many in the community as children play T-Ball and serves to keep the residential street safer by providing parking to patrons. The project included resolution of a property overlap discovered during our survey that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. |

Marion Baptist Church Chatham, VAClient: Marion Baptist ChurchWhen Marion Baptist Church was looking to build an addition to meet their growing needs, ALS answered the call. The church’s legal description went back to the late 1800s and was complicated by roads which had been moved in the 1930s. These road relocations essentially resulted in the church being land locked. ALS worked patiently with the church’s project manager, legal team and adjoining landowners to secure new deeds for the problem areas. As a result the church addition is on schedule to begin this month. |
